Shane Deshotel is a athletic 6'1-205 primary first baseman from Lake Charles, LA. Shane is in the class of 2010 at Iowa HS. In the workout Shane posted a very quick 7.12 sixty time on a soft surface, we feel on a firmer track, Shane is a definite sub 7.0 runner. At first base he is quick around the bag with soft hands and a very good glove and showed good arm strength with a 78mph velocity across the infield. Shane moves well turning double plays and shows good range to both sides. Shane also worked out in the outfield posting a 80mph arm strength grade. His quickness does give him range and he showed college level carry on his throws. Athletic and able to play in the outfield or first base at the next level. In the batters box , Shane hits from the RH side and showed good balance and college level bat speed. With a knee lift trigger with some lift in his swing, Shane shows college bat speed and strong hands. Good balance in swing with above ave hs power, Shane should continue to add strength to his frame and hit for power at the next level. Definite college projection.
Tell (Nolan)
Hunt
2011
South Beauregard
RHP
Longville , LA
Tell Hunt (pictured on right) is a 2011 RHP from South Beauregard HS who is tall, 6'4-190, and lean with nice whip in his arm action. Showed very solid 82mph fb with nice live, a 65mph cb with good shape and above ave hs command, and 70mph change up with nice arm speed. His tall lean frame puts him on track to be a high velocity arm real soon. Good out front with a slight fall off at release that could be stealing a little velocity right now. Does need to add some arm speed to breaking ball to increase bite and deception. Does mix in a cut fb, but life is hurt a little by falling off at release. With a few minor adjustments we feel Tell will be a RHP with a very good fb and nice change up, mix in a tighter cb and a more consistant cutter and there is a lot here to get excited about. Named Top Prospect Team from event.

Landon Thibodeaux
2010
Central HS
SS
Greenwell Springs, LA
Landon Thidodeaux is a medium frame 5'10-180lb., athletic SS from Central HS in Greenwell Springs, LA. Landon posted a 7.43 sixty time. A RH hitter with college level bat speed. Landon works from a wide stance and stays back well on the ball. HIs stroke os short and direct to the ball and he does uses the whole field. Landon uses a simple rock back load and has the strength to trigger. Should be a very good table setter from the middle of a college batting order. In the infield, Landon knows how to use is feet and showed 81mph arm strength across the infield with very quick hands and transfers. Landon may be best suited for 2b at the next level and he has the arm strength to turn the backside of a double play. He does work very well out in front and gets into position for ground balls. Working well to both sides of the field will give Landon the range to play 2b at the next level. Still developing strength, Landon has a good frame to develop and athletic actions. On track as a developing player with very good upside........email Landon
